REQUIREMENTS:
Four Credits in WASC/NECO/GCE including English Language in not more than two sittings.
OR
Grade II Teachers Certificate with at least a merit.
- Complete 60 credit hours with a minimum CGPA of 4
- Fulfill field Practicum requirement
- Evidence of Christian Character
- Complete the programme in two and not more than three years. Failure to complete in three years requires an application for extension for another one year

SYLLABUS:
Gospel sources and the synoptic problem. The unique nature of the Gospel according to John. Historicity of the Gospels. Chronology of the life of Christ. Theological themes and purposes of the Gospels. Literary features.
The spread of Christianity from Pentecost to AD 800. Hierarchical development, Gnostics, Montanists, conversion of Constantine, Imperial state church, Christological controversies, Donatism. Important church fathers.
Pre-Islamic history, Muhammad's early history, Islam and its early spread in Makkah and Madinah, survey history of Qur'an and Hadith and their importance to the Muslim world.
Pre-Israelite Canaanite religion. Pentateuchal instructions regarding Canaanite religion. Actual Israelite practice. The work of Israel's prophets. Theological development in Israel in the face of Canaanite religion. A brief History of Israel from Monarchy to exile.
The course focuses on improving students' standard in English language structures, pronunciation, increasing students' written and spoken vocabulary and their understanding of different forms of English language. It also seeks to develop students' reading skills and cultivate effective listening and speaking skills.
The course will introduce the students to basic computer hardware and processing concepts using Windows based applications. This will include a basic computer literacy and Windows unit, a unit on Internet using Internet Explorer 11, a word processing unit using Microsoft Word 2010, a spreadsheet unit using Microsoft Excel 2010, a database unit using Microsoft Access 2010, and a presentation software unit using PowerPoint 2010. The software used in this course is Microsoft Office 2010 Professional.
